Very lost, yet still searching. If the journey is more important than the final destination, then I am definitely on the right track cause it’s sure taking a loooong time to get there ;).
A little about me…
Being an immigrant in the US, I decided to create this blog to connect with similar thinkers online, since there’s such a disconnect between my career path and my family and friends. I actually went to school in IT, but through a college internship in web design, found a love for all things web, and am now gravitating more towards programming and development.
Most of the time, my friends and family do not understand the words that come out of my mouth regarding work, so I have resolved not mentioning what I do… forever. Which is why this blog is called “dirtiest secrets”. No, it doesnt have spicy stuff (unless you consider HTML5 exciting!), but in truth they are my very own dirtiest secrets which are partially shared in my 9-to-5 (or 8-to-4 :)) but quickly forgotten on the drive home not to derange the rest of the population at
The truth is, I now realize, my love of books and learning surpasses anything else in my life. Looking back, maybe I should be in a field somewhat related to editing/writing in a magazine or newspaper. My mom did graduate from public relations. BUT my dad is a chemical engineer
– I am actually the perfect combination of right and left brain, positioning to end in a marketing position for a software company.
Software Development is a very exciting field to be in, as in all technology fields, the dynamic innovation year round simply fascinates me. I am finally completely motivated at my job due to the fact is a continuous school and constant learning just to keep your nose outside of
the water, never mind being an expert. I am really hoping my commitment and dedication, which sometimes feel like the only thing I have going for me, will someday translate in confidence and knowledge and help me become a leader that will inspire others – in whichever field I am in.
I ultimately idealize working in a micro-finance company as an entrepreneur or assist other entrepreneurs in conquering their purpose-driven dreams. We are in a time that being resourceful and creative with what we have is so essential to make the world a better place. I hope that my creativity and focus allow me to continue this never-ending search for fulfillment not only in my career but also in my personal life.0
