Groupon has been offering these infrared body wraps and I decided to dig a little deeper…(I know these things expire quickly, but in case you are curious: Groupon link)
Anyways, from the local place, no crazy results promised, which I loved, and there’s this brief attempt at explaining what to do:
The FIT Bodywrap is a calorie burning and detoxifying machine that slims, tones, defines and reduces fat and cellulite throughout your body.
The FIT Bodywrap aids in the breakdown of fat tissue with the use of Far infrared (FIR) energy. This leads to calorie loss and reduces the appearance of cellulite. FIR energy falls within the same family of Infrared Rays in the light spectrum, but has longer wavelengths, similar to UV rays.
Why Doing Detoxifying Body Wrap?
First of all, I firmly believe that I will not lose one pound with this treatment. Maybe if I was super overweight, but since I only have a few pounds to lose, I hardly doubt this will affect me. Also, I believe that any “assisted” weight loss, with pills, treatments and anything that’s not a holistic, overall lifestyle change is not sustainable. I don’t do well with pill, but I can assure you that the weight WILL COME BACK, if you don’t do it the natural way.
But I believe in detox, and lately have been having a lot of facial breakouts, due to some hormone changes as well, and I think the detox part is tempting. Since I have no sauna or other way of detoxing, I think at $39, this might be a good alternative and harmless activity to try.
Infrared for Pain Relief/ Muscle Sore
I have started a new gym last couple of weeks and have been extremely sore… Maybe this could help? This sounds very tempting now…
Infrared for Relaxation /Stress Relief
Let’s not even get started on this. I usually think massages are an absolute waste of time, because I don’t have TIME!!! But lately, taking a few extra minutes to relax, meditate, and calm myself have been a must on my personal life. I realize that taking care of me is more important than anyone or anything else. So I am up for anything that supposedly helps!!
Ok, I am still a bit skeptical but I am curious enough to do it. Have you done it? Any results?
