It’s a candid Candid review! Pun intended. I have started candid one week ago and it is so painful that have made me question all of my integrity and belief system.
Ok ok I am exaggerating a slight bit but it Truly is bothersome. I am hoping I will get used to it soon but such time has not come yet.
I am 35 years old and I never would have put up with regular old metal braces. I have some crookedness, true but not enough for that and no medical reasons either.
Yes it is a little scary to get started but it’s true their support is super comforting.
Candid, like smileclub and others, is an attractive options to those that want to do it from the comfort of their home and also maybe don’t have extensive dental changes, I can clearly see this is not a one size fits all.

But pandemic and all its a good size to take care of our bodies and minds and since we are wearing masks anyways… let’s take advantage.
I’m only just starting but here’s some pros I found in candid Vs regular braces:
- Candid and slime club type of provider is a lot cheaper, at 1800-2000$ vs 5000$ in other dentists
- Candid offers shorter treatment options, mine actually was offered at eight months
- Candid includes white treatment spray you use in the trays, which seems to work well
And you will have great teeth 🦷 hygiene because you have to keep teeth and trays clean ( and it’s impossible to eat with eat anyways)
Side benefit: you may actually drop some pounds because snacking is simply too much work. Oh and I also stopped biting my nails! And expensive nail biting g treatment, but it works for me!
it may sound silly but I think it’s going great so far! Besides the pain, I am actually either imagining or seeing a difference. I hope it works well 🤞🏻
